Hi Girls! 

When I was a young girl I had my life all planned out.  I planned out what I wanted to study in college, who I would marry, where we would marry and how many kids we would have!! 

I can remember when I was eight years old, my aunt called and invited me to attend church with her.  It was at that time my aunt became a mentor to me and began to have the greatest influence on my life.  God would later on bring other mentors in my life that made an impact but none as great as what my Aunt accomplished by inviting me and giving me a ride to church. It was during that time that I gave my life to Christ.  I surrendered my plans for His!

I learned that there is a God who has a plan for my life and whatever we accomplish on our own is only a hint of what God can do through our lives if only we allow Him to guide us!  This excited me because I thought I had pretty exciting plans for my life and if they could only get better doing things His way than I was interested in knowing more!!  

Not only did I learn that God has a purpose for my life but I also discovered that I am created to bring Him glory.  Psst...Can I tell you a secret?  The secret to finding true joy and happiness in this life is by seeking to fulfill His purpose for you which will...TA DA....bring HIM glory!  Amazing!  There are adults that spend their whole lives not knowing this secret!  It's not really a secret though because you can read about this in the Bible.  The Bible is there to guide us and help us to know and grow closer to God.

As you make decisions about your life, remember to ask God about it and read His Word the Bible!  God can use you to make the world a better place!  The preteen years can be tough but God promises to always walk with you on your journey. All you have to do is ASK! In Jeremiah 33:3 he says, "Call to Me and I WILL answer you".  That's just one of the many promises you will find from God in the Bible!

As you journey through this important stage of life, Heart2Heart Girls’ Clubs can help you grow closer to God as you develop into the young woman God created you to be!  Mentors can assist you in finding answers to life’s questions.  They can also help you organize and reach your goals.  I am so thankful for my aunt and the many mentors who helped me grow in my faith along my journey!!  I pray that you'll have the same opportunity!!
